For the past 24 years, Ashley has studied and worked in fields related to housing. She received her B.S. from the University of California, Davis in community and regional Development and skied competitively for the university. Out of college, Ashley worked as a City Planning Consultant for a variety of jurisdictions across California writing “Housing Element” documents as part of their General Plans.

Ashley is a native New Mexican and decided to come back in 2009 after realizing that New Mexico is as good as it gets for a great quality of life. Upon her return, she worked as a Grant Writer for a multi- family housing developer. She was thrilled to discover Real Estate, where she could combine her knowledge of housing, her passion for helping people and her entrepreneurial spirit. Ashley grew her Real Estate business quickly after being nominated as the “Rookie of the Year” by the Greater Albuquerque Association of Realtors her first year in the industry.

In 2015, Ashley formed The Shaffer Group and began building her team to ensure she could maintain a great customer experience for her clients and to help others find success through Real Estate. She is passionate about her leadership and likes to keep her team small and highly skilled.

Thanks to her exceptionally loyal clientele, personal referrals and repeat business, Ashley has built a solid foundation in her Real Estate Business. To ensure efficient, exceptional service for you, Ashley is committed to continuing education and consistently bettering her knowledge of current market trends, changes in the mortgage industry and updates to contracts and documents.

She loves selling Real Estate and leading her team, but her true love is her three children-Piper, Sawyer and Ryder around. If it's wintertime, she is likely scaling a 13,000 foot mountain and tracking snowfall to the freshest downhill skiing tracks.

In 2025, The Shaffer Group helped 93 people buy/sell/invest in Real Estate for a total of $45 million in volume.
